JAMES ELLROY'S CASTAWAY
The BBC's flagship Sunday morning show, Desert Island Discs went all hard-boiled last week when writer, James Ellroy sat across the desk from presenter, Kirsty Young. The conversation between records was frank and honest - with Ellory discussing his mother's murder, his own drug addictions and sexual hang ups. His choice of music was mostly of the classical kind. The show is available as a podcast through Itunes but due to rights issues, only the first 15 second of each record chosen is played. Not that it really matters since it is the chat the fascinates.
