In fact,it reads like something I might have written although changing the 'Brit' to 'Canuck'.<br />Which leads me to the one place I disagree;I believe everything written also applies to the opening of the Canadian west. Partly this is due to a great many of those who opened the 'colony' of British Columbia and the North West Territories were American.
