WILD WEST MONDAY - STLL RIDING
Been filming series three of Lark rise to Candleford today - it's a twelve hour day plus a round trip of three hours to get to the location which is why The Archive has been quieter than usual.
However some news to round off this post - Wild West Monday continues to make it's reach felt - Black Horse Writer Nik Morton sent me this Jpeg of a page from The Spanish magazine New Coastal Press which is aimed at the ex-pat population. Click on the image for a readable version and see the mention of Wild West Monday. Thanks Nik.
And sticking with the Black Horse stable - writer David Whitehead informs me that the July issue of Book and Magazine Collector contains his article on collecting Western books. The article is credited to Dave's Black Horse Western pen name, Ben Bridges. The magazine will be in shops from 4th June and details can be found HERE
July will see the Archive celebrate it's first birthday - incredible. It only seems like yesterday I started the blog with a overview of the western genre. I've made some great friends in the blog world over the last year and intend to keep the Archive going for as long as people read it.
Oh and don't forget our petition in support of the humble western - HERE

Very cool about the Spanish newspaper. Excellent.
Kerby every but helps - if we all stick together we can influence publishers and booksellers
