AVATAR (prog) ROCKS




An almighty row has broken out after artist, Roger Dean,the man responsible for many classic prog rock album covers, noticed similarities between the worlds of Avatar and his famous paintings.

Yeah, I can see his point, but so much of his work built on those who came before, especially Bushmiller, Bok, Bonestrell, et al, so I reckon he can't really say Avatar ripped him off.
In my opinion, they just did what he did; continued the development of themes ongoing since the very beginnings of SF illustration and art.
Love to see this come to court though....

It's hard to say, that kind of art has a lot of similiarities inherit in the structure anyway. So I don't know.
