Now that Amazon have struck up a deal with Macmillan over eBook prices, HarperCollins and Hachtte have also told the online giant that they too want more money for their books. The moves come a mere matter of days after Macmillan said it would be insisting on higher prices for the ebooks it publishes and which are sold on Amazon.com. At the time, Amazon said it didn't think that other publishers would follow suit in seeking higher prices, but that prediction was clearly absurd.
We await the next development in the eConflict.
Interesting times, indeed.
