Fans of both Conan Doyle and Dashiell Hammett are well served on digital station, BBC Radio 7 this month - first off to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Hammett's death Radio 7 will broadcast two of the writer's most famous works Secret Agent X9 and The Maltese Falcon. And this Saturday will see The Game is Afoot, a special program in which Sherlock Holmes enthusiast Nick Utechin presents a three hour special looking at the detecting duo's presence on the radio from the Forties to the Naughties. Plus there's an interview with writer and dramatist Bert Coules.
