Dark Discoveries is a US quarterly print magazine which is actively seeking stories between 5,000 - 6,500 words. Stories much be in the following genres - dark fantasy, horror, dark scifi and dark mystery. Editor, James Beach says he wants stories that are powerfully written. The magazine has in the past published work by such luminaries as Ray Bradbury, Richard Matherson and John Shirley. The magazine pays $5 cents per word. Find details HERE


Queeredfiction specialise in gay and lesbian fantasy and horror and are actively seeking novels with a gay or lesbian theme. The US based company publish in both print and eBook and offer writers 40% royalties on eBooks and 20% on print books. Find details HERE


Damnation Books based in California are celebrating their second anniversary - they are currently seeking fulll length manuscripts in the horror and fantasy genres. The company publish in both print and eBooks with the payment to authors set at 40% royalties. They do insist that authors are proactive about their own publicity and marketing and would like to see a marketing plan with any submissions. Details HERE
