Historic first female James Bond

Well not really but British actress Rosamund Pike has made history by becoming the first woman to narrate a James Bond adventure for audiobook. The actress will narrate the new audio book of The Spy Who Loved Me which is something of an odd one out in the Bond canon since it is the only adventure told in the first person and narrated by a female.

Previous audio book editions have always been read by a male voice which is strange given that the narrator of the story is a female.

An entire set of new Bond audio books will be released next year.
