Tor UK, Pan Macmillan's SF and Fantasy imprint, are now accepting submissions directly from authors. Previously they had an agent only policy. Editorial director Julie Crisp says manuscripts should be between 95,000 - 150,000 words. The editorial team will read all manuscripts but can not offered feedback other than a standard letter.
The BBC's drama academy is on hold following the departure of John Yorke who ran the scheme which helped find new writers for the BBC. The BBC are undecided on the future of the scheme.
Amazon launched Kindle singles in the UK last December and are looking for submissions. Amazon describes Kindle Singles as, 'compelling ideas expressed at their natural length.' Visit the Amazon KDP page for details on how to submit something for inclusion.
