HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLINT

CLINT EASTWOOD's upcoming 80th birthday will be celebrated in America with a marathon of his movies.

Bosses at the Turner Classic Movies channel will show Eastwood's movies back to back for 24 hours, and debut The Eastwood Factor, a new documentary about the actor/director's career, narrated by Morgan Freeman.

Films like Dirty Harry, Magnum Force (1973), Where Eagles Dare, Kelly’s Heroes and Hang ‘Em High will be aired throughout the day from 6am on 31 May (10).

The Archive will also be celebrating too - Clint will turn 80 on the 31st May and in the week leading up to the day when the finest movie star there is celebrates his 80th, the Archive will be running 80 Eastwood related posts. Expect every movie reviewed, a look at Clint's love of Jazz, a tabloid poke into the legend's past loves and much more.

You've all heard of Dirty Harry, well this is Grimey Gary and I'm telling you all to make my day and be here for the Archive's Eastwood 80 Week.
