The June-August 2010 issue of Black Horse Extra has now gone live - as usual it's jammed packed with Black Horse Western news. The lead article this issue comes from David Whitehead in which the author muses on how to keep the western genre alive in this modern world. The Hoofprints news section is, as usual, bursting at the seams with interesting snippets (and yes Keith the Lee Floren/Jack Martin connection) did bring a smile to my face. There's also a round table type discussion on cover blurbs. And all this for the grand sum of zero pennies.
I always print each issue out and then read it at my convenience - and I'll tell you something, if this mag was on sale in the shops I'd quite happily pay four or five pounds for a copy. Go check it out western fans - HERE
