weekend approaches, everyone’s favorite 69-year-old Amazon, celebrated the 600th issue of her signature comic book with a whole new look that leaves the red, white, and blue behind. Feminists, or at least some of them, applaud long pants replacing hot pants. Conservatives, however, read more nefarious, even un-American impulses behind the alteration of the familiar figure. Conservatives give me a pain. I'm waiting for them to make the change in Wonder Woman somehow Obama's fault.
And to set the record straight, I consider myself a conservative/liberal. I have a brain and have been known to use it on occasion, an idea that bothers the scaremongers that run the Republican party these days.
I think the older costume was hotter, though.
Also it strikes me that the older version was more shapely - the modern version seems to be heading towards that unhealthy size 0.
That's likely the PC police in action. Mustn't infest young minds(to them, comics are for children only) with sex. Violence is fine though.
