CRIMEWAV - SOON

I'm pleased to report that I will be reading a story of mine, Rhondda Noir for the excellent CRIMEWAV PODCAST. The piece should hopefully be zinging around the web and onto Ipods and MP3 Players everywhere sometime in May. Recent shows have featured works from the likes of Bill Crider, Michael Connelly, Rafe McGregor and even Dashiell Hammett - so I'm in good company there, then.

If you haven't checked out the Crimewav yet then what are you waiting for? It's the internet's only crime fiction podcast with stories usually read by the original authors.

Crimewav - new episode available now

The new edition of Crimewav features a story by fellow Hale author, Rafe Mcgregor. I'm a huge fan of Crimewav, it's one of the best crime fiction podcasts on the web and I subscribe via Itunes.

I'll hand you over to writer Seth Hardwood to tell you all about the latest offering:

This is episode 33 of the CrimeWAV: we go overseas for Rafe McGregor's "Blue Mail."

Yes. And because the number 33 is special, I'd like to dedicate this episode to old Larry Bird, who was looking terrible at this week's NCAA championship game. Here's to feeling OK when you wake up in the morning, Larry.

Rafe McGregor worked in law enforcement for eleven years before becoming a crime fiction author. He writes both historical and hardboiled mysteries, and enjoys reading Philip Marlowe as much as Sherlock Holmes.

His first novel, The Architect of Murder, was published in February: twenty thousand war dead, the will of the wealthiest man in the Empire, the coronation of Edward VII, and a hero with post traumatic stress disorder… murder and mayhem on the mean streets of 1902 Westminster. Awesome!!

You can find Rafe online at either http://www.rafemcgregor.co.uk/ or http://www.rafemcgregor.blogspot.com/

Bill Crider's Crimewav

Head on over to the CRIMEWAV the crime fiction podcast where Bill Crider is reading his Edgar nominated story, Cranked. If you've never tried Crimewav before now is the time to do so. The podcast run by writer, Seth Harwood is of professional quality and is essential listening for any crime fiction fan.

I love podcasts and subscribe to dozens so I feel qualified to say that Crimewav is among the big boys in internet broadcasting. The last episode featured a lost Dashiell Hammett story which was read by Mr Harwood himself. It's quite incredible that content of this quality can be offered free but then perhaps that's it's biggest strength - the creators produce it for love rather than financial gain.

Excellent stuff.

Let's be careful out there......

The recipient of 26 Emmy awards, actually nominated 29 times and between 1981 and 1984 it had four consecutive wins of Best TV Series. It...
