I love the punky philosophy behind podcasts - do it yourself and cut out the corporations who have ,until the empowering nature of the Internet, controlled our media. There are as many bad podcasts out there as there are good, but the best podcasts can stand shoulder to shoulder with any professionally produced media and are often more entertaining. They have no advertisers to answer to, no controllers setting the agenda but are produced out of sheer love for the subjects they cover.
One podcast I never miss an episode of is Bailey's Writing Tips and I was pleased to step into Jack Martin mode for an interview with host, Morgen Bailey - the episode can be heard through iTunes or via Google Feeds HERE. Check it out for some great western chat and news of a certain western movie which is in the very early stages of development.
