The western goes hard boiled.
The Ballad of Delta Rose by Jack Martin, author of The Tarnished Star (soon to be filmed under the title, LawMaster) and Arkansas Smith.
Visit the Amazon Jack Martin Page for a full run down of available titles.
And coming soon the large print trade paperback edition of Arkansas Smith.
Arkansas Smith: the name was legend. Once he had been a Texas Ranger, but now he was something else entirely. Some said he was an outlaw, a killer of men and a fast draw. Others claimed he was a kind of special lawman, dispensing frontier justice across the West and bringing law to the lawless.
Arkansas Smith arrives in Red Rock looking for those who shot and left his friend for dead. He vows to leave no stone unturned in his quest to bring the gunmen to justice and, soon, those who go against him must face the legendary fast draw that helped tame the West.
"This is by far one of the most entertaining books I have read this year. Jack Martin (aka Gary Dobbs) brings together stereotypical Old West characters, scenes and backdrops and infuses them with a life of their own. His descriptions give you enough information to form a picture without going into overload, his dialogue is obtuse (a good thing, in my opinion, and rare), his fight scenes are precise and clear. I also enjoyed Jack's turn of phrase and the humour peppered throughout the pages. It left me with a satisfied smile on my face." Western author, Terry James

Will there be a book-branding tour? Would prefer to buy from a shop if that's the case.
I'd like to do that, but no immediate plans.
