America arrives at 2000AD

2000AD was first published in 1977 and is without any doubt one of the most important British comics in history. And now it is to launch in the USA as a real weekly title - previously the comic could only be bought stateside in batches of four or five issues, but now there is to be a US version of the comic which will feature reprint material from the British comic.

This is great news for a comic that continues to defy trends and is still a healthy selling title.
