If any company holds the right to call themselves a British institution that it is D C Thomson - the Scottish publisher who are still based in Dundee are famous around the world as the publishers of a wife range of titles which include The Beano, Dandy (sadly now defunct), the Commando comic books, My Weekly, People's Friend, The Dundee Courier The Sunday Post and many many more iconic titles.
