"Hello this is Gary typing with his fingers."
Introducing the Beatles Christmas album - what?
Of course the Beatles didn't record any Christmas music and whilst this is likely just as well, since most Christmas albums end up as sentimental pap that doesn't stop fans from creating their own Beatles Christmas album, and you know what the result is zany fun. Between 1963 and 1968 The Beatles fan club sent out a flexi desk every Christmas with festive messages from the Beatles to all members of the fan club. These recordings have been available collected on an expensive bootleg album for years, but now some helpful fan has posted the entire collection of flexi discs onto you tube.
So the recordings - jokes, skits, music - which was never meant to be sold in the first place can now be listened to for free and that's how it should be.
It's not really music but rather a series of Goonish Beatleness - check it out below:

I listened to about half of it and it was a treat. They had a lot of fun making the records it sounded like.
