007 goes to Oxfam
Oxfam are raking in the bucks after a rare book was handed in amongst a black bag full of books donated to the shop.
The charity shop, Oxfam's Morningside branch in Edinburgh found the copy of Live and Let die, a first edition, in a bag of old books donated to the charity. The book was expected to fetch £800 but went under the hammer for £3,000.
Andy Crosby, manager of the store, said the money would go towards maintaining a water supply for 3,800 people. feeding 500 families emergency rations and also building two classrooms.
