THE CANON PART EIGHT

The Adventure of the Creeping Man- A professor suddenly starts behaving strangely. This one is more fitting to Poe than Conan Doyle and very much flirts with horror and science fiction. It's a great story, though. 8/10

The Adventure of the Sussex Vampire- A mother is seen drinking the blood of her baby. Once again Doyle skirts around the borders of horror fiction. Once again it's a jolly good story, rattling off the chills. 9/10

The Adventure of the Three Garridebs- Holmes is asked to find a man with an unusual surname in this Red Headed League clone. One of the poorest stories too. 4/10

The Adventure of the Illustrious Client- A suspected killer is due to marry a rich and powerful young woman. There some social message in this story, Doyle seems to suggest that you can commit crimes with impunity if you are rich enough. Power to the people, Watson. 6/10

The Adventure of the Three Gables - An elderly woman is offered a huge sum for her house. A weak tale. 2/10

Man, you have done Yeoman's work on this stuff. Where in the world do you find the energy?
