DAMN DEVILISH SHERLOCK HOLMES NEWS

Tantor Audio will release four unabridged audiobooks taken from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s four Sherlock Holmes novels later this month. The newly recorded audiobooks will be available in time for the new Sherlock Holmes movie, starring Robert Downey Jr., set to open in theaters on Christmas. The novels—A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of Four, The Hound of the Baskervilles, and The Valley of Fear—will be narrated by Simon Prebble and will include two bonus features: one of Doyle’s short stories and a companion e-book. The audiobooks will be available November 23 in a variety of formats

MOVIELINE CLAIM NEW HOLMES TRAILER WILL NOT FIND FAVOUR WITH ANTI-GAY CRUSADERS – “It’s been a long, interesting ride for the promotional campaign , which began with a shot of Robert Downey stripped to the waist and now finishes with a final trailer full of homoerotic banter. “This is not your father’s Sherlock Holmes!” the trailer cries. “Did your father’s Sherlock Holmes flirt with Watson all day? Did he sublimate his sexual urges for Jude Law into a simultaneous, side-by-side orgasm of gunfire?
Truth be told, though, the “old married couple” rapport of Holmes and Watson feels more fresh and appealing than most of the regular ol’ action tropes elsewhere featured in the trailer. Hey, Maine Voters If you really want to take some rights away, leave Holmes and Watson alone and concentrate solely on overzealous practitioners of Adobe After Effects.”

ALSO ON THE GAY HOLMES, ANGLE, -This from the New York Post – “GUY Ritchie's plan to put a gay spin on the relationship of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in his new movie about the detective and his sidekick could backfire.
Robert Downey, who plays Holmes, has revealed the crimebuster will sleep with and have sweaty grappling scenes with Watson, played by Jude Law, in "Sherlock Holmes," due out Christmas Day.
"We're two men who happen to be roommates, wrestle a lot and share a bed. It's bad-ass," Downey told Britain's News of the World. Added much-in-the-news Law: "Guy wanted to make this about the relationship between Watson and Holmes. They're both mean and complicated."

FILM MEGA MONTHLY (which is something I just made up) are saying, don’t worry about the new Sherlock Holmes movie just don’t miss the Tainted Archive’s Sherlock Holmes Weekend.

I'll look for those audiobooks. Might pick up one so I can listen to it driving to the relatives over the holidays. As for the movie, no comment. I'll just wait until it comes out and see for myself. So to speak.
