CHICK LIT - Deany Judd, a former teacher who became a successful writer is hoping to inspire others to follow their liteterary dreams. She spent ten years teaching teens at Glasgow comprehensive before becoming a freelance feature writer. Now, together with a team of writers, she has launched Literary Chicks offering online writing courses for hopeful writers. Check them out HERE

BBC MAGAZINES - Have appointed Fegus Collins as the new editor of Countryfile Magazine.

I Spy returns - I remember these books when I was a kid so it is great news that the I-Spy series is about to be relaunched. The children's books which stopped publishing in 2002 will now be relaunched soon - titles include I-Spy Nature, I-Spy Creepie Crawlies and I-Spy Bird.

Crime fiction and articles wanted - Gumshoe, the US based website, is looking for articles, interviews and fiction related to the crime genre. Editor, Gayle Surrette states that - short stories should be no longer than 1,000 words. The site will pay a nominal fee for all material used. HERE
