Brian Keene Update

We are pleased...NO, scrub that - we are over the moon to report that beloved horror author, Brian Keene, who suffered serious burns in an accident earlier this week is, at least, on the mend. Brian posted the following pic and update from his hospital bed.

Greetings from Day Two in the burn ward. No way I’m getting any writing done, between the bandages and the morphine and the oxy — but I did finish Paul Tremblay’s latest and started an old favorite by Stephen King. (That burn scene with Trashcan Man should be fun to reread). ‬


However like many of us in the creative community, Brian has no health insurance and medical bills, when you don't have the NHS like us lucky  Brits can be expensive, so please if you are able support Brian's Gofundme page to help out a little. In addition to Brian's prolific career as a horror novelist and his comics for publishers such as Antarctic Press and DC Comics, Keene also co-hosts the eponymous Horror Show with Brian Keene podcast alongside Dave Thomas (not the Wendy’s guy) and Mary SanGiovanni. Keene’s annual telethon for the Scares that Care charity raised over $20,000 this year to help others suffering from childhood illness, burns, and breast cancer.
