TARNISHED STAR SHOCK NEWS

Tarnished Star Scandal,

The MP's expense saga worsened today when it was reported that Clive Olano, The MP for Little Larkwolds claimed for a portable duck island, a plasma television, three dozen iced donuts, wages for his golf caddy, flipped his second home so many times it was dizzy, and a copy of Tarnished Star. The MP in question said he would resign but defended his reading matter on the point that it was his WIld West Monday contribution.

The Tarnished Star - buy it now on expenses or otherwise. MP's can request a special invoice in which the book will be listed as stationery.

thank you for the non-UK link. When I first read your post I thought you'd finally lost it due to lack of sleep. Then I had a cup of coffee and cleared my head and recalled that oh yes the British have their own special type of scandals. Sounds like you all are due for an Obama-type revolution.

I think the UK creates the dodgiest politicians in the world - one toff actually did try and claim for a floating duck island and another to have his moat cleaned out.

It's still funy. :-)

If you want a laugh - the bill for my dog's food has gone to my MP. I told him that he owes me.

You know that a scandal has really permeated the Internet when it makes it to the blog level. :-]

I can safely say that the UK is second to none when it comes to political shenanigans.

We Americans can only dream to reach that level of goodness.

The best thing about the saga is that none of them think they've done anything wrong. That MP who appeared on the radio last week to explain himself was a comedy God. After claiming for his duck house on expenses he proclaimed people were only getting at him because they were jealous of his big house.

Ian - and now he's said the ducks didn't like the duck house in any case.

Loved it, Gary. Typical politicians, ducking and weaving... I used to live in Gosport, Hants so know (by sight) the MP in question; he has(or had) a few lucrative directorships too...
