Amazon release a cut price Kindle

Amazon have released another Kindle - the new version is identical to the Kindle 3 but with the inclusion of advertising screensavers - (Tech News)

Monday announced the introduction of a new offer for its portable e-book reader Kindle - Kindle with Special Offers for $114. It is currently available for pre-order to U.S. customers, with shipment planned to be made on May 3.

There are three latest-generation Kindle family members now available on Amazon, $114 Kindle with Special Offers, $139 Kindle, and $189 Kindle 3G.

Kindle with Special Offers features paper-like pearl electronic-ink display, 8.5 ounce body, up to one month of battery life, Kindle store with over 9 million books, and integration with Kindle apps for iPad, iPod touch, iPhone, PC, Mac, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Android-based devices.
Special offers for the new Kindle in the initial weeks include $10 for $20 Amazon.com gift card, $1 for an album in the Amazon MP3 Store, and a $100 gift card with a new Amazon Rewards Visa Card.

Buick, Olay (Procter & Gamble), Visa, and Amazon.com Reward Visa Card (Chase) are sponsoring the first series of screensavers for Kindle. In the coming weeks, Amazon will launch a free Kindle app and website, AdMash where customers can choose display advertisements that will become Kindle sponsored screensavers.

Great -- I seem to alwalys buy before the best price with no extras. Think I will go buy a new flip camara, that should make me feel better--what--they will not make them anymore, and the price may go up on the left overs. So goes my world!
