Requiem for Billy the Kid
Kino Video

French Filmmaker Anne Feinsilber became interested in the legend of Billy the Kid when she read an article about the controversies surrounding his death in the New York Times.

She enlists the gravel drawl of Kris Kristofferson to narrate her fascinating documentary that was highly praised at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.

It's part documentary and part travelogue as she roams around Lincoln and New Mexico, talking to locals who relate stories their heard from the grandfathers and great grandfathers.

It doesn't offer any new theories as to what really happened all those years ago but it is a great documentary and I was riveted for every single second.

Excellent stuff.
