MAGAZINE WATCH
The latest Paperback Fanatic (issue 11)fell through my letter box this morning and as always provided several hours of enjoyable reading.
The magazine is at the top of its game now - far better produced than most news-stand magazines. It's a great thing that the magazine is so robustly produced since once read it will be frequently pulled out and thumbed through. As a work of reference it is invaluable.
Highlights in this issue include a reprint of Steve Holland's interview with prolific paperback author, Peter Leslie, a look at James Moffet and a great feature on men's adventures which concentrates on the Blade series of books. The letters page is also a great read with some interesting conversation going on. The editor informs us that the readership for the magazine is now about 50% American and that in the future he will be looking at more USA published paperbacks than usual. but still retaining all the UK specific content. This should allow the already brilliant magazine more scope to grow and prosper.
If you love old paperbacks and the pulps then believe me you will want this magazine.
Can be picked up at good newsagents or purchased online which is far the easier option - Go HERE
