Patrick Wayne, son of John Wayne, will open an exhibit that focuses primarily on the senior Wayne, in conjunction with the 2010 Harvey Awards presentation.
The exhibit, which opens Saturday, will run through early November.
Most items on display come from the John Wayne Birthplace Museum in Winterset, Iowa. Joe Zuckschwerdt, the president of the Wayne Museum and owner of much of the collection will be present.
Two local collectors will be represented in the exhibit.
Both Fred Roser of Saltsburg, and former museum President Jay Rubin have loaned items from their personal collections for this exhibit.
During Saturday's event, Patrick Wayne will be available for photographs and autographs. After the opening of the exhibit at 12:30 p.m., museum guests may be photographed with Patrick Wayne by the museum-provided photographer for a donation of $20. Guests may use their own camera for a donation of $10. A donation of $10 will secure an autograph from Patrick Wayne on a personal item, or guests may purchase Wayne-related items from the museum's gift shop to have signed.
