Also posted here is a fan produced video and song - The Ballad of Jonah Hex which I found while stumbling YOU TUBE and it' so cool I thought Archive readers would like to see it.
January 31st - I've done it, gone the full month without a drink. I've smashed dry January. Do I feel proud of myself? Well, sort...

Yeah, we need more scarring. Brolin is a good actor but Jonah ain't a pretty boy. Geez, I hope Hollywood doesn't screw this up.
I'm reading a recent Jonah Hex TPB. It's really my first taste of Hex and certainly the first since my interest in westerns began last year. I'm thoroughly enjoying it and wasn't at all surprised when Hex was drawn to look like Eastwood. Fingers crossed for the movie.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to this. Brolin might be able to pull it off. I hope so.
I read the comic book so am very much looking forward to this one. Loved Brolin as Hickok in Young Riders.Perfect choice of actors.
Poor, timid makeup. Hex is supposed to be a monster - so hideous his appearance is a source of terror. In these pics, he looks a bit grumpy, his smile a bit crooked. I was a fan of Hex during his first incarnation and the new line as well. The idea of Hex was that he was horribly scared and deformed, both inside and out.
If you are going to do Hex, you have to commit. -- Mykal
Radiation - I agree the scars almost made Hex a zombie and added greatly to the supernatural aspect of the stories. I'm eager to see this one and perhaps the make up will be tweaked somewhat because this is naff. At the moment rather than an axe scar it looks like scabies.
Archivest: I hope the makeup hasn't been finalized. One should focus on the good news, I suppose. At least Brolin is well cast; and the fact the Hex is being done at all is a real plus. -- Mykal
