TWO PIPE PROBLEMS
BBC Radio 4 are currently running a series of plays by Michael Chaplin set in the fictional, Old Beeches, a retirement home for retired thespians.
Sandy and William, played by veteran British actors Stanley Baxter and Richard Briers are two actors who found fame in the 1960's playing Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. These days they share an affectionate animosity towards each other.
The play is wonderfully staged play manages to both thrill and humour the listener with its cranky old characters. The play, together with others in the series, are available to listen to on the Radio 4 listen again site.
