eBooks storm Europe

Think the UK and USA are leading the way in eBooks - well Spain reported a 500% increase in eBook sales for 2009.

The amazing figures are a result of the "remarkable" acceptance by Spanish publishers and consumers, according to the electronic library for the sale of TodoeBook eBooks.

It is estimated that there are more than 100,000 reading devices, this figure was "very important" when considering that a year ago the number was "negligible". Regarding the estimates for this year, the electronic library is projected to increase in both the sale and extension of titles available in electronic format. Specifically, the experts consulted by TodoeBook maintain that the eBook will be strengthened in areas of education and will become supplementary material in the medium term.
