Well they can't call it Star Trek 2-or can they?
Total Film Magazine, in their recent look back at the films of the Noughties, called it the SCI-FI film of the decade.
Director JJ Abrams revealed some tantalising details of the next Star Trek movie, due to go into production soon. When asked if he was directing the next movie, he said that's open ended at the moment but he will definitely be producing. He also hinted that a young Picard could be worked into the script of a future movie.
The new Star Trek movie is provisionally slated for Summer 2011
With less than two months before shooting starts on the new Conan movie, producers are frantically searching about for a buffed up actor to play the titular hero.
A report over at Deadline Hollywood confirms that the two main guys in the running so far have been Kellan Lutz (from the Twilight Saga) and Jason Momoa (Ronan in Stargate: Atlantis,)
Who will it be - mm... Vin Diesel? Dwayne Johnson? Stone Cold Steve Austin?
Conan is expected to hit screens during Winter 2011.

I just checked out the new Trek film and loved it. The whole cast was spot on and having Nimoy present validified the whole shebang for me. I'm glad to see the sequel is on the way.
Star Trek 11 is an excellent reboot that captured much of the old but presented fresh material and plot.
Apparently Trek 11 has been inked in for release in June 2012 as the writers won't start writing the screenplay until Lost ends this summer. The only hints they've offered so far is that it'll have a serious theme that like most of the best Trek films tackles some current issue.
Yeah, I liked the new Trek a lot.
